I've Been Waiting For Wings!

Fly! Fly! Fly!
Butterfly Wings, into the Sky.

We made a butterfly out of our Co-op produce box.
I was inspired by another blogger
who makes something different each week out of their Veggie Box. I can't remember which Aussie blogger it was, (they made an airplane out of their box).
So if it was you, let me know, so I can give you credit!

First we covered our box with construction paper.

Then we pulled out our butcher paper and finger paints
 and we got messy!
Doesn't she look like such an artiste right there!

This is our finished finger painting mural.
I need to buy more finger paint.
Man! That stuff went fast.

I cut our "modern art" into wings
I first cut out one wing, and I flipped it over and cut the other wing.

Then I hot glued the wings onto the Veggie Box
I also glued on two ribbons
that acted as suspenders to hold up the box.
She had tons of fun out in the yard!

Some Fun Butterfly Books We've Been Reading:

Louis Ehlert, he's amazing!  I love all of his books.
It is another butterfly life cycle book.

So I thought this book was a childrens book,
But when we got it from the Library it is huge (like 200 pages)
However, it is full of huge pictures of different butterflies, caterpillars, and cacoons.
Miss S. loves it!
