Baby You're A Firework!

We are so excited to celebrate
 Independence Day!
Can you believe it's less than a week away.
We started out talking about
why we celebrate America's Independence.

We read this wonderful little board book about
The Star-Spangled Banner in Boston, Ma.
It explains our national anthem very simply to little children.

Miss S. loved the page where there were pictures of
"the rockets' red glare"
It actually looked like fireworks!

I saw I Heart Crafty Things do firework art,
and I wanted to do this too.

It was so fun! And it turned out so well.
First we made the glue look like a firework,
Then we added glitter.

It was so fun, every time we added glitter,
Miss Sassy said, "Ohh! Beautiful!"
I think it will make watching the fireworks
much more meaningful this year!

For our America theme we also made our own American Flag, and made some fun Fourth of July Snacks!

  2. Ooooh that little smile is worth a 1000s words. How adorable is Miss Sassy! Not surprised she is chuffed to bits with her fireworks. They rock!
